Simply Modern Damask Bag

This Bag is GINORMOUS!!! It's HUGE haha!

So I have gotten a lot of requests for a larger bag, well here it is...

well... actually it will be listed in the morning (9/10).

I figured in honor of my 1 year Etsyversary I would try a new pattern for a diaper bag. So, I bought the Amy Butler Birdie Sling Pattern. This bag is my 1st creation.

I love the Damask fabric, and its becoming more and more popular so I decided to take a crack at it :-) I paired it with stripes for a good bold POP! The two together are Classic & Gothic at the same time, and honestly it kinda reminds me of "The Nightmare Before Christmas" movie (one of my faves!)

And again this bag is very large. Just to give you an idea of how large it is: It takes roughly 5 yards of fabric, interfacing & fusible fleece to make it. And for my 1st time making it about 7 hours! whew!!! The pattern is easy to follow I'm just very thorough & tend to read a direction over & over to make sure I got it right. There is nothing I hate more than ripping seams & starting over haha!

I changed one of the pockets that come with the pattern by making it larger and adding elastic along the top (like in all my other bags) with 4 separations which are great for Baby Bottles, Glasses case, water bottles or anything else you want to organize into your bag.

Anyways before I bore you with all my sewing talk (which puts my hubby to sleep haha) check it out on my site I will list it first thing in the morning :-)

Cherry Baby Sling

What an awesome invention! The pouch sling has got to be the easiest baby carrier to use!
It holds newborn to toddlers up to 35 pounds!
It evenly distributes baby's weight so it's easier on Mom's back.
You can nurse privately & in comfort since baby's weight is supported.
You can throw it in the washing machine.
It's small enough to fold up & fit into a diaper bag.
There are no clips or straps to hassle with & can be worn in 5 different positions.
It lets baby snuggle close while letting mom have full use of her hands
... and the list could go on & on!

Check this awesome sling out on my website & I have other Cherry Fabric Baby Items to match!

Contact me if you want a pouch sling in a different fabric & I would be happy to help you design your own!

Rockin Hooter Hider & Burp Cloths

Ok so I've said before how I LOVE Alexander Henry...I really LOVE his designs.

This fabric is called Regal Skulls. I decided to make a nursing cover and matching burp cloths (man I wish I was making this stuff when my kids were babies haha my youngest is 5) This was surpisingly easy to make & fun. I love to sew. It's very relaxing for me.

I have to say they turned out sooo cute! These together would make an awesome shower gift. And the price is very practical. The two together is $32.00.

Skulls & Bows Bag

As soon as I saw this fabric I knew it would make an awesome diaper bag!! So I ordered it. I could not wait to start sewing. So... I made this today :-)I love the bright green & blue colors & the little PUNK skull with the mohawk is my favorite!!

I'm glad I have some left over fabric to make other things I just can't decide if I should make a matching baby blanket or a nursing cover... hmmmmm

Any thoughts? Let me know what you think I should make....
