It's that time of the month, AGAIN! ... hahahaha GOT YOU! Not THAT time LOL ... First Friday is HERE again! Only 3 days away and I am on sewing lock down! It's crunch time baby! Time to get all those little last things made for the event. It sure is a lot of work but I love it! I spend ALL month prepping for First Friday, filling orders, prepping for First Friday, re-stocking the Rockin Bettie store, prepping for First Friday, re-stocking Love Bug Baby store ... wait, did I mention prepping for First Friday? hahaha ok, ok I know that was corny but I couldn't help it!

I've also been busy busy with new projects! I have teamed up with Jeniffer LaRocca Photography to offer my Rockin fans a great photo shoot for a great price, and in turn they model some of my gear & get a little return for themselves ... it's a win/win/win! Who could ask for a better deal!?! Check out some of the images we have so far. Our first model is Parker, and she is SO adorable! Cute, right? She came to visit me at First Friday wearing her little dress. It made my day!! Love seeing and meeting my fans in person. It's amazing!

... well I'd better get off to bed. Gotta do more sewing in the morning before 4th of July celebrations start :-)

2012 Changes & Goals for things to come

I am the proud owner of my own domain. I can now check "creating my own website" off my 2012 goal list. It's been and going to be a crazy year!

This is the year I make everything official and baby step closer & closer to quitting my day job. My goal is to be doing this full time by the end of the year. I am so excited and already a little exhausted hahaha

Love Bug Baby in Henderson Nevada now carries Rockin Mama Baby Gear, which is very awesome! My stuff is still available at Rockin Bettie in the Meadows Mall.

I am actively participating in the First Friday Event starting with last month and will be there again April 6th ... YAY! So if you are a Las Vegas local or will be in town please be sure to stop by. I love meeting my fans & followers :-) I am going to try to make it to First Friday every month, it's so much fun!

WOW it's been awhile!

Hello Bloggers!!! It's been a LONG LONG time since I've updated. SO SO much has happened in the past months! WHEW, where do I even begin?

Rockin Mama Baby Gear has taken some major steps this year! I am now an official Limited Liability Corporation with my resale license for the State of Nevada.



I now have my stuff in the Rockin Bettie Store in the Meadows Mall SO if you are ever in the Las Vegas Area you MUST MUST stop by and check out all her Pin-Up style couture, along with my baby gear. It's downstairs by Macy's (this was HUGE for me! SO excited!)



I am squeezing some events into my busy busy schedule. I will be at the Las Vegas First Friday event October 7th (hoping to add more in the future). It's downtown in the arts district. Tons of artists and crafters will be there selling their wonderful items. It's a MUST see!



The Arts Marketplace in Tucson will SOON be carrying some Rockin Mama Baby Gear. My goal is to have my stuff there by the end of next month/beginning of November. I have to SEW SEW SEW to get an inventory ready for them.


I have joined another Etsy team "Team EtsyBABY" WOO HOO! Etsy teams are GREAT! Love the Etsy community! I am still a member of the Handmade in Vegas" Etsy Team, and loving every minute of it.

I attended my VERY first Fabric Convention just this weekend, and was able to establish some accounts with the major Fabric designers to buy my fabrics wholesale. This is HUGE for me as I have been buying retail just in small quantities and being able to buy entire bolts of fabric wholesale means my list of items I can now create is ENDLESS! This is great news for my customers :-)

Jenifer suggested Nelson Nevada for our family photo shoot knowing right off the bat we would make some ROCKIN photos out there. I have to say as a mother of three I DREAD taking family photos! My three monsters always wanna do their own thing and when your flustered and in a cramped studio it is NOT fun. Jen made our photo taking experience fun. Our kids had a blast exploring Nelson giving my hubby and I an opportunity to have our own session. We've been married for almost 13 years and I only have a few pics of just me & him, and now I couldn't ask for better pics. We even got a couple of us KISSING! I don't have ANY like that (my son says EWW haha)

New Projects & Ideas

Hey Everyone!!

SO as a crafter of fabric I naturally have a addiction to buying more & more fabric LOL because money is so tight right now (as everyone knows. whew it's REALLY tough right now for everyone) I am trying to keep from buying anymore fabric. My scraps box was overflowing and taking over the top of my sewing cabinet so I put my creative mind to work & started some projects using ONLY what I have on hand. I started a quilt, a small one. It's going to be the size of a large throw blanket. I'm really excited to get it finished but I can't decide if I'm going to list it for sale or keep it for myself hahaha!

I also came up with the idea of making some Christmas ornaments. It's kind of a family tradition to give a Christmas ornament as a gift. They are inexpensive & that way you always have something new for your tree next year. The ornament is pretty large at 8 inches in length!!!! but I LOVE the way all the black & white fabrics go together in sort of a Old School Americana style. I'm wondering if I should list the ornaments in a set of 3, or just make them for family & friends as gifts, or BOTH ... hmmmmm
