Handmade Pencil Pouch

So my son needed a pencil pouch for his school binder. Can you believe all Wal-Mart & Target had was dinky plastic ones! So I remembered I had some awesome scraps of fabric from pillows I made and I just happened to have a spare zipper. I didn't have any metal grommets so I just did simple button holes on top of a french seam so it would go in his binder. It turned out to be perfect! It's bigger than we could have bought & it will last a lot longer than those dinky plastic ones! He loves it! He said all the kids in his class will want one too!

New Baby Booties

HOT OFF THE SEWING MACHINE!!!

So I was going through my small pieces of fabric & decided it was time to create some new booties. So here they are!! I have to say my favorites are the Cherry Blossum ones. I bought that fabric & made a baby sling for my sister-in-law out of it & I had a little left over so I made some booties. Aren't they adorable? I think I might even have enough to make a diaper bag so keep your eyes open for that.

The Regal Skull booties came out pretty good also. That fabric is so detailed some of the smaller skulls go unnoticed so I carefully cut out these pieces to give those little skulls a chance to stand out haha.
